Witchy Cauldron Room 3D Illustration by Amy Denise

The Cauldron Room Witchy 3D Illustration

The Cauldron Room is the Second 3D Illustration I have created. The first was the ice cream shop from my last post. This Illustration was challenging. I gave myself a hard deadline for this one. I wanted it to be done by Halloween. There was no budging on this deadline. That was it. Pencils down! The Idea for the Witchy Cauldron Room 3D Illustration The idea for this model came from the fact Halloween was coming. I had planned on doing some cute, fun models for some dtiys on Instagram, but this idea wouldn’t let go. So I said, okay,

Updated Carousel Surface Pattern Collection by Amy Denise

Carousel Pattern Collection UPDATE

Just when I thought I was done with the Carousel collection I put it out into the world to get some feedback and I made some big changes. I feel like this collection is way more complete. If you want to see how the pattern collection looked before, you can visit the original Carousel Collection blog post. Small Improvements Can Make a Big Impact The main issue I was trying to work out was that it just seemed a little too busy. I really didn’t leave any space for your eyes to rest in the original collection. I dove back

Carousel Pattern Collection

Do you ever start on a project and then in the middle completely head off in a different direction and you can’t pull yourself away and go back to the original project or idea? That is what happened when working on my latest collection.  Creating the Carousel Surface Pattern Collection My newest collection of pattern designs called Carousel came about after I had spent weeks working on a completely different collection called At The Fair. I originally made them to sublimate them onto compact mirrors. I felt that these bright little fruit slices had so much more to offer than just being a compact. So I imported them into Photoshop and decided to make some patterns. I

Mushroom Art

Sometimes I like to look back at sketches I did awhile ago and once in a while I find one that I forgot about that makes me smile. That is how I felt about this mushroom sketch. It’s a happy birthday memory, which for me blends into Christmas and is coming up very soon. I received an ipad pro with an apple pencil for my birthday from my husband that year. It was very exciting! I could draw on my ipad! I had used drawing tablets and a stylus in the past to draw on my computer but it wasn’t

Getting Wrapped Up

This is my first post! So thank you for being here! I don’t know about everyone else but I’m feeling the pressure this year to get my shopping done early. I’m already half way there and it’s not even Thanksgiving. It does make me feel weird. I like to take my time and really think about the gifts I give and the personality of the person I’m shopping for. Though admittedly, I usually end up going back to my original idea, I like to really make sure I’ve seen all of my options and yes definitely that is the gift.
